Why Christianity Applied?

To put it simply, Christianity isn’t just for Sunday, it’s for Sunday to Sunday.
Christianity is wisdom for the present, not just news about the past.
It speaks into the material world, not just about the spiritual one.
In other words, Christianity is practical and relevant.

But sometimes we need a bit of help. Sometimes we struggle to connect the dots. How should a Christian faith shape the way we think about marriage, work, singleness, identity, politics, money, the environment, our mental health? Sometimes we need people who, like a personal trainer, can help us to exercise.

Our aim is to come together so that we can connect the dots, connect Christianity to some topic. More than that, our aim is to get some practice thinking practically, so that we are better equipped to think through the next topic by ourselves.
Thinking Christianly about life, is a skill that requires time and commitment.

But picture for a moment, that person you know, who does this best. Picture, perhaps, an older saint, who thinks Christianly and wisely, about everything. Don’t you want to be that person?

We will invite four people each year to address topics with us. Each will have a certain expertise, in the topic, and in the Bible. We will be asking them to model a Christian way of thinking about important, relevant issues.
